Q: How Does It Work and How Long Does It Take?
A: The NIR Skin Tightening laser delivers a beam of high intensity Near Infrared Light that sweeps gently over the skin deeply penetrating the skin tissue right through to the dermis. The light heats up the water content of your skin which stimulates the collagen and causes the skin to contract and tighten. Your body’s own natural healing process will also start to produce new collagen to further tighten firm and smooth the overall appearance of your skin over several months. As far as how long, depending on the area being treated as well as the skin type, it can take anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes. Q: How Many Treatments Will I Need? A: The number of treatments that will be needed will depend upon the area to be covered and the condition of the skin. A series of treatments may be required to achieve the desired result of smoother, tighter skin on your face, neck, arms, abdomen and other areas. Q: When Will I Start Noticing Improvements?A; An immediate improvement following treatments will be noticed, however further improvements will continue to develop gradually over a period of 1-3 months as new collagen is formed and the skin thickens and feels tighter and smoother. Pre & Post-Treatment Protocol
- Prior to treatment a consultation is required in order to do a skin assessment
- Before and after treatment drink LOTS of water - this helps flush out the impurities from your system
- After treatment refrain from drinking alcohol, tea, coffee and colas for 48 hours
- After treatment stay out of sunlight, sunbeds and don't use spray tans for at least 48 hours
- Wear SPF 30 on treatment area in UV light
